This week Lee and Chris begin their next series going through Kline’s book titled The Structure of Biblical Authority. Whereas By Oath Consigned focused on the sacrament of baptism, The Structure of Biblical Authority focuses on the nature and character of the Scriptures. Kline’s analysis by way of the ancient near eastern treaties makes for some exciting connections!

Thank you for this episode.
I am taking a research methodology course for a ThM program right now that has me reading lots of historical/biblical-critical approaches that do not see the Biblical Canon as a whole, and which advocate non-committal approached to biblical criticism. T.D. Bernard’s 1864 Bampton lectures, “The progress of doctrine in the new testament” also make a strong case for the divine guidance of the (NT) canon. This episode was refreshing to my soul. 5 stars for the podcast.
Thanks, ianbt7!
