Glory-Cloud Podcast: 043 – Images of the Spirit Chapter 2 – A Priestly Model of the Image of God

Hi dear brother,

First I want to thank you for your faithful labor through this podcast, it has been a blessing to me and has also given me a deeper insight of the Scriptures.

My comments on this episode is about the way you describe what the Spirit is doing through the setting of the tabernacle- temple- garment of Aaron, you say the Spirit is “reproducing His image, likeness ” or “replica of the glory-Spirit”.

Because it is not specified or clarified in which way the Spirit replicate Himself or reproduce himself, by saying only that the Spirit replicate or reproduce himself in the tabernacle – temple or Aaron’s garment, that kind of describing those object, sounds to me as the manner how the Scripture describes the incarnation of our Lord; what my point is, is that we should describe them not just as the Spirit reproducing himself in the temple, etc, but as those being a “typological” or “schatological” representation, reproduction or replica of the Spirit, otherwise sounds kind of phanteistic and we could say that the tempel is the Spirit, you understand what I mean?

It may be that I am making a storm out of a glass of water, but that is what I was thinking when I was listening to the podcast.

One more question is that when Lee was talking about the beauty and glory of the vestments of Aaron which make reference to the glorification when we actually will be made fully in the image of Christ, he comments ” when you are looking at Aaron’s beautiful garments, you are looking at men as he was created or early as he was intended to be as a replica of the glory spirit”.

My question is, does it mean that what we are going to be in our glorification ( since this is what is represented by the clothes of the priest) , is the same Adán was supposed to be if he had no sinned?

Is not our glorification going to be much beter than if Adán had not sinned, since our glory derivates from our union with Christ who is a person of the Godhead, union that can not be separated from the incarnation and this was not been necessary if Adán had not committed sin?

And as last, been clear from the Scriptures that the tabernacle, temple and Aaron’s garments, are types of the second person of the trinity, the Son, why are they called in this book “images of the Spirit” making reference to the third person of the trinity?
